So What is TOEFL & IELTS?
TOEFL is an acronym for Test of English as a Foreign Language and IELTS is an acronym for International English Language Testing System. These are the official names for these two tests. In most cases, if you are a foreign trained healthcare professional, you must achieve a specified score on one of these tests to qualify for taking NCLEX, NPTE, NAPLEX or your specific industry examination. This may sound terrifying at first, but that is okay. You can feel a little nervous. Both TOEFL and IELTS assess your ability to speak and understand English by analyzing your skills in terms of reading, speaking, listening, and writing.
